An Empty Nest

An Empty Nest

After 33 years our house no longer echoes to the footsteps of children.

Our eldest son has finally got his own place and moved out. And its a really strange feeling, having no kids or grown up kids in the house. For the last 33 years we've had our own children, foster children, various extended family members together with dogs, cats and hamsters living with us. In a 3 bed terraced we've had up to 7 people at one time living, eating, crying, laughing, arguing and sleeping here. Now it's just me and Mrs H. And it's strange.

But its also good. Our kids haven't moved far, Windsor and Camberley so its not exactly as we're never going to see them again. We now need to make time for ourselves again, to see what God has for us in this new chapter in our lives. God is good, all the time!
