Healing is Here

Healing is Here

In the New Testament it is plain to see that Jesus healed all who asked or were brought before Him.

The same with the Apsotles and Disciples. Ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be opened.

There are two complimentary passages in the Old Testament and the New Testament which address both salvation and healing, namely Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24

Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds.

1 Pe 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

Both passages are quite straightforward. Jesus took the punishment for our rebellion or sins, and by the wounds he received we are healed. To me it seems so plain and simple. This is what I believed when I first became a Christian. Then over time the Church slowly chiselled away at my belief leaving me with a vague, nebulous concept of God's healing power. Recently it seems as though my faith has become more simple again and I'm beginning to see the damage that has been done by poor teaching and witness.

God's healing power is still abroad in this world and its time that faithful believers took hold of it, used it and proclaimed it to the world!
